Twenty-eight Berkeley County School District students were honored Wednesday, April 10 during a special ceremony at Westview Middle School in Goose Creek. They were recognized for making positive and lasting changes in their lives.
Of eight participating schools, 17 students at Howe Hall AIMS participated in individual events and received superior ratings. The Philip Simmons Middle School 8th grade cast of Cheaters was the only school to receive a group superior rating.
In the words of Director Greg Whiteley and Executive Producer Ted Dintersmith, Most Likely to Succeed is a "thought-provoking" film that "revels the growing shortcomings of conventional education methods in today's innovative world."
The event hosts choirs from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. Among those, the Goose Creek Chamber Choir posted the highest score as it received a gold rating and placed first among all schools in the choral division.
