Beginning in January 2019, all 8th grade students will be required to complete an Individual Graduation Plan, or IGP meeting involving parents, students, and one CBM counselor. Parents are required to attend the IGP meetings, as they are important in the planning of your child's 9th grade core classes and electives.
During your scheduled conference, we will discuss and plan your child's:
* 9th grade class selections, both core classes and electives * Current and past academic progress * Educational goals for high school * Plans for college * Career goals
Starting today (12.07.18) the following link will be available for you to sign up for an IGP meeting date and time. The meetings will be between January 18 and March 15. Please be sure to sign up as soon as possible in order to secure your conference date as early as you can.
Also, there will be an IGP Parent Information night held at Cane Bay High School on Thursday, January 17 at 6pm. Please try to attend as this meeting will give valuable insight regarding the IGP process.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the CBM Guidance Department at 843-899-1857.
