Following meetings with community members, the board had an opportunity to review feedback on early proposals. That feedback prompted BCSD board members and administrators to consider additional options.
Each year, teachers at BCSD schools nominate three educators to be considered for school-level Teacher of the Year. The nominee receiving the most votes from colleagues is elected school Teacher of the Year and considered for District Teacher of the Year.
Schools in Berkeley County School District have selected their Rookie Teachers of the Year. These teachers will be considered for district Rookie Teacher of the Year.
H.E. Bonner Elementary (HBE) will be offering kindergarten through fifth grade students registering for the 2019-2020 school year admittance into their arts magnet program. All applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2019.

The purpose of a School Improvement Council is to work with the school principal in planning, reviewing, and evaluating school programs. Input is sought in developing strategic and school renewal plans. The most up-to-date information and data on school programs is shared each month.
Meetings are open to the public at 8:15am in the Media Center (sign in at the front office upon arrival)

Junior Ring Ceremony
Juniors interested in participating in the Junior Ring Ceremony need to sign up in the Media Center by February 19th at 2:30p.m. You may participate whether you ordered a ring through Jostens or not. The ceremony is February 19th at 6:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
