The BCSD Student, Teacher, and Parent Climate Surveys window opened on Monday March 3rd and will close Friday March 21st. All students in grades 3-12 and all teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, ROTC instructors, career specialists, and speech therapists are expected to participate in the survey. Mr. Fletcher goes above and beyond as an advocate for music education. His work at Sedgefield Middle as the Director of Bands and at Goose Creek High School as the Assistant Director of the Spirit of Gold Marching Bands inspires students to be music leaders. Mr. Fletcher says, "Innovation in my classroom focuses on fostering creativity, collaboration, and diverse musical experiences. Technology, like MakeMusic, is integrated to empower students to self-assess their progress, practice beyond the classroom, and explore genres such as pop, jazz, and video game music. This then leads to promoting self-exploration and growth."

Feb. 3-7 is National School Counseling Week, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our school counselors for the role they play in student achievement and success.
BCSD schools and offices will re-open and resume normal operations tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 27.
Due to concerns about icy conditions and the ongoing impact of inclement weather, Berkeley County School District students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, January 24.
