There is no better way to finish up a Charlotte's Web novel study than by fostering a 10 week old piglet in the classroom! This amazing opportunity allowed PSE third graders to bring their imaginations to life and make real life connections to their reading. Spider the Piggy won the hearts of all of PSE! #making-memories

Third grade had the best time celebrating the 25th Anniversary for the novel Because of Winn Dixie! After reading and analyzing the story in class, students celebrated with a party just like the one in the book! The classroom was transformed into Gloria Dump’s backyard to set the stage, and students ate foods like the ones at the party. Students also got to meet the author herself, Kate DiCamillo, in a virtual meet and greet!
