William Wilson will lead Goose Creek High’s administrative team starting this upcoming school year (2023-2024). Wilson has served as Gregg Middle’s principal in Dorchester District 2 since 2015. He previously served as assistant principal at Summerville High and Ashley Ridge High.

This year is Mr. Childers' first year as an assistant principal at Goose Creek, and his 26th year in education. Previously, he spent seven years as assistant principal at Sedgefield Middle. Prior to becoming an administrator, he spent 14 years teaching U.S. History, Government and Economics at Hanahan High School. While at Hanahan, Mr. Childers also coached boys and girls basketball, football, soccer and track.
He currently resides in Summerville with his wife Nikki, their three children, Karis (21), Kohen (18), Penny (7), and their two cats, Carl and Martha, and dog, Hank. As a proud graduate of Coastal Carolina University, Mr. Childers attends games as often as possible. He is also a fan of the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, and the Boston Red Sox.
