Dr. Kimberly Murray is a native of Charleston, SC and a product of Berkeley County School District. She attended College Park Elementary, College Park Middle and graduated from Stratford High School. She attended the College of Charleston where she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Education with a dual certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. After graduation Dr. Murray began her career with Berkeley County as a first grade teacher at Devon Forest. While teaching full time, she obtained a Master’s of Education Degree in December of 2007 in School Counseling. In 2008, she continued to serve as an elementary school counselor for several years at Cane Bay Elementary.
Dr. Murray earned a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Leadership Education Administration. In November of 2016, Dr. Murray began working in school leadership as an administrator at College Park Elementary and Hanahan Elementary. Most recently she was the principal of Bowen's Corner Elementary. Now at CPE, it's her hope that every person who walks through the doors of College Park Elementary feels the warmth and excitement of learning and knowing that they matter.
