Dr. Marion "Wally" Baird joined Berkeley County School District as the Executive Director of Academics and Innovation in August 2021. For two years, Dr. Baird has served BCSD as the Executive Director of Elementary Schools, providing leadership and support to principals across the district. Prior to being named the founding principal of Bee Tree Elementary, Dr. Baird was the principal of Carolyn Lewis School in Carnes Crossroads.

Dr. Baird entered the teaching profession in a nontraditional format in 1997 through the Teach for America program. With extensive prior experience as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and district administrator, Dr. Baird brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of effective leadership. Dr. Baird believes that through positive relationships and experiences, students will reach their potential and maximize their effectiveness.

Dr. Baird received his Bachelor's Degree from Charleston Southern University, his Master of Education degree in Administration from The Citadel in 2001, and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2011.

Ginger McCoy has been in education for 25 years. She received her bachelor's degree from Francis Marion University and her Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration and Supervision from Charleston Southern University.

For the last 14 years, she has been in Berkeley County School District. Now, she proudly assumes the role as assistant principal at Bee Tree Elementary.

Brittany Sibert holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics education and a M. Ed. in elementary education from South Carolina State University. In 2023, she earned her educational specialist degree in administration from Arkansas State University. Ms. Sibert has spent the majority of her career at Woodland High, as a math teacher and later as an instructional coach. Before joining Goose Creek High as an assistant principal, she was an assistant principal at Williams Memorial Elementary. She's excited to be back in an elementary school setting and help open Bee Tree Elementary!
