Westview Middle School Strings and Chorus students showcased their talents on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the “Music at the Parks” Festival at South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, followed by an exciting day at Carowinds! Our 7th and 8th grade Orchestra achieved a third place ranking under the direction of Mrs. Buchanan. Mrs. Malcher entered two groups: Our Combined Chorus secured second place in the Mixed Choir I category, and our Chamber Choir earned first place in Mixed Choir II! Congratulations to all of these fine young musicians and their Directors!

Our 6th-grade artists are stepping into the role of game designers! This unit challenges students to think critically about "playability" while mastering graphic design and 3D construction. From drafting original rules to making custom game pieces, students are learning that great art isn't just looked at—it’s experienced. Keep an eye out for these finished prototypes; they are as fun to play as they were to build!

Our very own Ethan Leighty was recognized by the state Superintendent as the only student at Westview Middle to receive a perfect score on last year's SCReady tests! Great job Ethan, and let's get ready Warriors for our upcoming assessment window.

Good evening, Westview Families! Please check your email for an important message.

Our 8th grade Social Studies students been hard at work taking a deep dive into history, creating some truly impressive South Carolina historical timelines!
They didn’t just list dates, they connected key moments in South Carolina's journey to major events in American history, illustrating how our state helped shape the nation. It’s fantastic to see them engaging so deeply with the material and learning how our area is pivotal in American history.

We are thrilled to share that both Westview Elementary School and Westview Middle School have been recognized as state "Learning Labs" by the South Carolina Department of Education! 🌟
