As you may be aware, current forecasts indicate the possibility of severe weather from tropical system 94L (which is expected to be named Imelda) which has strengthened into a hurricane. At this time, no decisions have been made regarding changes to school operations.
In preparation for any potential impacts, school leaders are working to ensure that students return home today with their Chromebooks and that teachers are prepared with eLearning plans.
We are working closely with Berkeley County’s Emergency Management Department and are receiving regular updates from the National Weather Service. We will continue to monitor the forecasts and updates concerning any potential impact to Berkeley County.
Any changes will be communicated to staff and parents via district communication channels.
