As a way of continuing to promote child nutrition and adding to the many celebrations capping the end of the school year, Berkeley County School District’s Office of Child Nutrition Services will launch a special giveaway next week (May 20–24) that will offer some big prizes.
Elementary, middle and high school students eating lunch and/or breakfast next week will be entered into a drawing for prizes that include, but are not limited to:
*iPads
*Wireless earbuds/headphones
*Underwater cameras
*Projectors
*Action cameras
*Bluetooth speakers
Students will receive one entry into the drawing for each meal they eat. Winners will be drawn at random, and those who eat multiple meals will obviously have an increased chance of winning.

There will be an interest meeting for any rising 7th-12th grader interested in running cross country this summer and fall on Tuesday May 7th at 4:15pm in trailer one.

This Spring, all public school students in grades three through eight will participate in State Testing, except those who qualify to participate in Alternate Assessment for students with significant cognitive disabilities. Testing will occur during the regular school day and begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. each day.
Sangaree Middle will complete testing on the following days:
o Tuesday, May 7th - SC Ready ELA Day 1 (Writing): All Grade Levels
o Wednesday, May 8th - SC Ready ELA Day 2 (Reading): All Grade Levels
o Tuesday, May 14th - SC Ready Math – All Grade Levels
o Wednesday, May 15th
* SC Ready Science: 6th Grade Students ONLY
* SC Ready ELA Field Test: 7th and 8th Grade Students o Thursday, May 16th - SC Ready ELA Field Test: 6th Grade ONLY
o Wednesday, May 22 – Algebra 1 EOC: 8th Grade Alg. 1 Honors Students ONLY
