August 12th is the day to come out and meet your teachers! We will have a morning session (from 9:30 to 11:00am) designed just for our new 6th graders and their families. In the eventing we will host a drop-in style meet-the-teacher event from 5:00-6:45pm. There will be food trucks on site! Schedules will be emailed out before these events. As a way of continuing to promote child nutrition and adding to the many celebrations capping the end of the school year, Berkeley County School District’s Office of Child Nutrition Services will launch a special giveaway next week (May 20–24) that will offer some big prizes.
Elementary, middle and high school students eating lunch and/or breakfast next week will be entered into a drawing for prizes that include, but are not limited to:

*Wireless earbuds/headphones
*Underwater cameras
*Projectors
*Action cameras
*Bluetooth speakers
Students will receive one entry into the drawing for each meal they eat. Winners will be drawn at random, and those who eat multiple meals will obviously have an increased chance of winning.

Sangaree Middle will host our annual Multicultural Night event this Thursday, 4/25 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm in the cafeteria. Come enjoy food, music, and crafts from different countries! #wearesangaree
This Spring, all public school students in grades three through eight will participate in State Testing, except those who qualify to participate in Alternate Assessment for students with significant cognitive disabilities. Testing will occur during the regular school day and begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. each day.
Sangaree Middle will complete testing on the following days:
o Tuesday, May 7th - SC Ready ELA Day 1 (Writing): All Grade Levels
o Wednesday, May 8th - SC Ready ELA Day 2 (Reading): All Grade Levels
