At this week's BCSD Board of Education meeting, Stratford High's JROTC archery team was recognized for winning its second state title! Competing in the JROTC Division, Stratford High's archery team won the South Carolina NASP State Championship in two divisions, Bullseye and 3-D.

Our Betas are the best! At the recent BCSD Board of Education meeting, the SHS Betas who won first place in individual competitions at the South Carolina Senior Beta Convention were recognized for their hard work and academic excellence. Good luck to this terrific group of students at National Beta Convention in June!

WOW! Students in our Take the Lead mentoring program raised $6,000 in support of the Ronald McDonald House in downtown Charleston, which is TRIPLE the amount they donated last year. Kudos to all our mentees on this incredible achievement —especially those from Cane Bay High, who donated the most to this special cause.
Happy Veteran's Day

We could not be prouder of our Marching Knights and their Directors for making history this past weekend at State! They finished 5th overall in the 2025 SCBDA 6A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! GO KNIGHTS!

On Tuesday, May 13, the Stratford Betas held a pack party to benefit the Lowcountry Period Pixies, a local nonprofit that distributes period supplies to schools and community organizations throughout the Lowcountry. The Betas worked together to package 414 community packs for the cause. We love hands-on projects that help us help our community. #NationalBeta #LowcountryPeriodPixies

Spring has sprung! We hope all our students have a safe and fun spring break! Students will return to school April 21.

On April 5th, the Stratford Betas volunteered at the Goose Creek Recreation's Easter Egg Hunt at the Carolyn Lewis Fields. We helped distribute the eggs for the hunt, ran the craft area, supported the photo location, and manned the yard games. We even assisted Mr. Bunny, Miss Bunny, and Broose the Goose throughout the event. Everyone had a blast!

Stratford brought 7 students to the SCSTA competition . Every single student ranked Superior (highest ranking for the competition)!!. We had 3 students qualify for the finals for Comedic Musical Theatre Solo and 2 students qualify for the finals for Dramatic Duet Scene. Mia Embree Stone and Tyler Goodhall placed 3rd in the state for Dramatic Duet Scene! So proud of all of our kids who competed!

SHS Chamber Orchestra received a rating of "Superior with Distinction" at the SC Orchestra Division Concert Performance Assessment. This rating is the highest that any orchestra can achieve at a state competition! Way to go Knights!
