Students in Art made Japanese tea vessels from clay and then had a Japanese green tea ceremony using their original vessels. Students were excited to taste the green matcha tea and eat jellies and rice cakes. They learned how the Japanese culture has shared these ceremonies for hundreds of years by creating their own clay cup and then using cultural heritage to extend their art on this culture.
Macedonia Middle's Kaylee Shaw had her artwork featured in the Board Art Show!
A special thank you to Faith Church for treating our teachers and staff to Krispy Kreme donuts for teacher appreciation week!!!
