What a fierce showing by the Foxes! With a whopping 20.5 percent increase, Macedonia Middle had the most growth on SC Ready Math of any middle school in BCSD. As a reward for this remarkable achievement, students and staff were treated to ice cream by the central office.

SURPRISE! Because Macedonia Middle saw over five percent growth in their SC Ready Math scores AND more than 10 percent growth in students who passed the Algebra 1 end of course exam, MMS math teachers were treated to brunch last Friday.

Let's start this year off right! The MUSC C.A.R.E.S. Clinic is hosting a back to school resource fair at St. Stephen Middle (225 Carolina Dr., St. Stephen) on Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to noon. This resource fair will include free school supplies, healthcare career pathways (MUSC PRIME team), health screenings, gun safety education, Lowcountry Food Bank and cooking demonstrations with recipes. The vaccine clinic has been rescheduled to the resource fair on September 6, which is still before student vaccine records are due.

The BCSD Student, Teacher, and Parent Climate Surveys window opened on Monday March 3rd and will close Friday March 21st. All students in grades 3-12 and all teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, ROTC instructors, career specialists, and speech therapists are expected to participate in the survey.
