Program allowing no cost meals for all students not available for 2022-23
For the past two years, the United States Department of Agriculture has offered waivers to school districts allowing them to offer students breakfast and lunch at no charge. Those waivers are now expired. This means that starting in August of 2022-2023, we will return to normal pre-pandemic operations.

At the Tuesday, June 14, 2022 meeting of the Berkeley County Board of Education, board members approved the appointments of several administrators.Â

Summer Feeding Program Information
BCSD child nutrition workers will be serving meals Monday through Thursday, June 6 through July 28 at the schools listed. Meals will be hot, and children will need to eat at the site.

iLead program empowering students at Nexton Elementary
Superintendent Spearman visited the school to discuss the iplementation of the iLead program. The program was adopted at the school this year after 2021 District Teacher of the Year, Brittne' Guerry heard about it in November.
