Berkeley County School District will continue to serve meals to students this summer.
The 2023 Summer Breakfast and Lunch Program is available to all students and children in the Berkeley County community. The program is free to all children under the age of 18. Dates, times and site information can be found at www.bcsdschools.net/summermeals.


These amazing students were celebrated as WVE’s Students of the Month! We were able to celebrate one student from every homeroom. We are so proud of their hard work and leadership! Way to go everyone!

Congratulations are in order for Ms. Jannie, our wonderful custodian, as she enters retirement. She has been dedicated to caring for our students, our school, and us, and we cannot express our gratitude enough for all her hard work. We will certainly miss her and wish her the very best in her retirement and future adventures! Ms. Jannie, we love you!






Our WVE Girls on the Run collected stuffed animals for MUSC's Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital. Joining Ryleigh and Kyleigh on Saturday morning were members from the Zeta Eta chapter (Lander University) of Gamma Phi Beta-Maddie Strawn, Miss Cowpens, and Lillian Strawn. Gamma Phi Beta is an international supporter of Girls on the Run.

We were so excited to have Rachel Stanley, the Youth Market Director with the American Heart Association, visit our school to present Mrs. Banks with a certificate.


Congratulations to this ROCKSTAR for completing the 40 Book Challenge TWICE! Eighty books in one year is impressive. Way to go, Ariel!!

REMINDER: May 30th is a half day for all students. It is also the final day of school for all students. May 31 is a teacher workday and the final day of the school year for teachers.

Join the professionals on our transportation team. As a team member you will be an important part of the education process. Make a difference in education. Bus drivers and bus assistants are key to our students’ success. We are focused on safety, and we’ll train you!
