Good morning WVE families. Due to the unpredictable weather and the closure of BCSD schools and offices today, we have had to cancel tonight’s Meet the Teacher event. However, we’re excited to let you know that we’ve rescheduled it for Monday, August 12, from 12:30 pm to 3 pm (drop-in). We understand this may not be the most convenient time, but this schedule helps us avoid the parking and traffic issues that may occur with the other Westview schools' Meet the Teacher events. If you are unable to come to Meet the Teacher on Monday, you will have the opportunity to walk your student into school on Wednesday morning to meet the teacher. Car rider tags will be issued during Meet the Teacher event. We will also issue car rider tags on Tuesday, August 13 from 8:00am until 3:00pm. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing you on Monday and starting a fantastic new school year together!

BCSD transitions to virtual operations today, August 9 Due to unexpected flash flooding resulting in numerous road closures and impassable road conditions, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) schools and offices will transition to virtual operations Friday, August 9. All extracurricular activities, athletics, and school programs are currently suspended Friday, August 9. BCSD leaders urge staff to stay off of the roads. In collaboration with county and municipal leaders, BCSD will reassess conditions Friday and throughout the weekend and provide updates, as appropriate, concerning potential access to schools and offices. BCSD leaders are working closely with Berkeley County Emergency Management and are receiving regular updates about the weather from the National Weather Service. As safety and security is our
