Mr. Huff is originally from the small town of Indiana, PA, located about an hour east of Pittsburgh. He graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Earth/Space Science Education.

Mr. Huff began his teaching career in 2014 as a 7th/8th grade mathematics teacher at Cainhoy Elementary/Middle School. Following the closure of Cainhoy’s middle school program in 2016, he transitioned to Philip Simmons Middle School, where he taught 8th grade science, Algebra I, and 6th grade science, completed STEAM training with Clemson University, and served as a Technology Coach.

In 2018, Mr. Huff earned his Master’s Degree in Leadership and Supervision from The Citadel as part of the Berkeley County Lead V Cohort. He went on to serve as assistant principal at Philip Simmons Elementary during the 2019–2020 school year before working as Berkeley County School District’s K–12 Science Coordinator from 2020–2021. In July 2021, he was named interim principal of Philip Simmons Elementary, where he continued to serve until being named principal of Sangaree Elementary in 2026.

During the 2023–2024 school year, Mr. Huff was selected to participate in the School Leadership Executive Institute (SLEI) through the state of South Carolina, a program that develops and supports highly effective school leaders across the state.

Kali Coaxum is Lowcountry born and Lowcountry raised. She moved from Charleston to Goose Creek with her family at six years old, when her dad got a job at Alumax (now Mt. Holly). Ms. Coaxum is a proud product of Berkeley County School District. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State University in Early Childhood Education. She is also a graduate of The Citadel with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She started her teaching career as a long-term substitute at her former elementary school, Howe Hall Elementary in 1996. She was then hired as a teacher of that classroom in the spring.

Ms. Coaxum has over 20 years in education with 16 years teaching kindergarten. She has taught Child Development and 1st grade. Ms. Coaxum has also been a reading interventionist.

Ms. Coaxum enjoys spending time with her family. She has 2 children and 4 nieces that all mean the world to her. Before coming to Sangaree Elementary, Ms. Coaxum served as an Assistant Principal at Westview Primary and Goose Creek Elementary.
