Mrs. Tara Baker, Principal

Mrs. Tara Baker is a Native of Charleston, SC. She attended Limestone College where she received her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies. Mrs. Baker went on to College of Charleston were she obtained a Master's of Arts in Teaching Degree and a second Master's of Education in Elementary Leadership from the Citadel. Ms. Baker began working in school leadership as an Assistant Administrator at Howe Hall AIMS and Nexton Elementary.

She is excited to serve the community of Sangaree. It is her goal to foster and build positive relationships with the students, teachers, parents, and community.

Mrs. Baker is the proud wife and mother of three, who all attended Berkeley County Schools. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Rusty Boston

Assistant Principal

My name is Rusty Boston, and I have been with Berkeley County School District for 19 years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. I spent 13 years working in manufacturing with Milliken and also in food service with Aramark.

Deciding on a career change, I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching followed by a Certification in Administration all from the College of Charleston and The Citadel. I spent six years teaching 5th grade at Hanahan Elementary prior to joining the administration at Whitesville Elementary. I was an administrator at WES for several years, but am now excited to see what I can do at Sangaree Elementary.
