Philip Simmons Elementary is excited to introduce the community to its new principal, Dr. Creighton Eddings.
Families are invited to come out to the school on Tuesday, Aug. 4 for Popsicles with the Principal to meet Dr. Eddings; more information is detailed below.
Dr. Eddings majored in sports management and minored in business administration at Clemson University. He holds two Master of Education degrees; one in Counselor Education and one in Educational Leadership, both from The Citadel.
Dr. Eddings’s education career spans more than 20 years. He previously served as a school counselor at Devon Forest Elementary, where he was named Teacher of the Year in 2008. He has served 18 years as an administrator in Berkeley County School District, and most recently led Mount Holly Elementary.
“I am excited to join the Philip Simmons community and look forward to a wonderful school year,” Dr. Eddings said.
Popsicles with the Principal will be held Aug. 4 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. This is a very casual, drop-in style event.
