Hello Marrington Families,

Thank you for a WONDERFUL first week of school! We are so happy to have our students back in the building and learning with us daily! Below you will find a few reminders as we gear up to start week #2.

* Monday, August 18th is INDEPENDENCE DAY - Students will begin walking themselves to class on this day - no parents allowed.
* All students in grades preschool - kindergarten (and their siblings) should enter the school using the kindergarten loop on the side of the building.
* All students in grades 1st - 5th (and their siblings in grades 1 and higher) should enter the school using the loop in the front of the school.
* Parents should pay close attention to the sinage and the flow of traffic when entering and exiting the parking lot.
* Students MAY NOT bring medication to school. If medication is needed, a parent must bring it to the nurse with the correct paperwork completed - please do not send it with you child.

We would like to inform you that, due to water main work performed on base over the weekend, a water advisory is currently in effect for Marrington Elementary and Marrington Middle School. This advisory will remain in place through Monday evening. As a precaution, drinking fountains will not be available on Monday. We encourage students and staff to bring bottled water, if possible. BCSD will also provide bottled water to ensure everyone has access throughout the day. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Attention Parents/Guardians, Please complete your RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION now! This is required for all returning students for the 2025-2026 school year. All students who have this completed by May 28th will be entered into a drawing for free school supplies for teh 25-26 school year. Information to complete this process can be found in Parent Portal. This is a friendly reminder that SC Ready Testing will take place TOMORROW for students in grades 3-5. Please get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast, and bring your charged chromebook with you to school. Please plan to arrive at school on-time and stay the entire day. We know that our students' are going to Rock This Test!

You are invited to our Yearbook Signing Celebration! May 14th - during the school day You MUST have a 24-25 yearbook to attend. If you have not yet purchased your 24-25 yearbook - we have a limited number still available for $35 cash (exact change). Please come to the front office to purchase.
