Mount Holly Elementary is celebrating earning a "Good" rating on the newly released SC School Report Card. MHE improved 8 points and moved from Average to Good since last school year. A Good rating means that the school performance exceeds the criteria to ensure all students meet the Profile of the SC Graduate. Way to go students and staff!
Mount Holly Elementary celebrates Red Ribbon Week. Students and staff are showing their support of making positive choices by dressing for the theme each day. Today we were giving drugs the boot while wearing our western wear.
Goose Creek High School Baseball players woke up early to welcome Mount Holly Elementary students as they arrived at school. High fives and smiles were a positive way for MHE students to start their Friday! We thank GCH for their continuous community support and providing positive role models for our students.

Ms. Gethers hosts Cooking Club at MHE on Early Release Club days. She applied for and won $550.00 to use to help enhance the cooking club experience for her students!
The BCSD Student, Teacher, and Parent Climate Surveys window opened on Monday March 3rd and will close Friday March 21st. All students in grades 3-12 and all teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, ROTC instructors, career specialists, and speech therapists are expected to participate in the survey. In response to ongoing forecasts for wintry weather, to include the potential for snow, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that schools will follow the half-day dismissal bell schedule on Tuesday, January 21. Berkeley County School District will utilize the Teacher Workday/Inclement Weather Day on October 11 as a weather make-up, e-Learning Day for students, as designated in the BCSD Instructional Calendar. This adjustment is necessary due to the postponement of the first day of school from August 14 to August 15, following impacts of Tropical Storm Debby.

Due to forecasted impacts of Hurricane Helene, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, September 27. All after-school activities and after-school care programs will close at 6 p.m. this evening.
All schools and offices will be closed Friday, and before and after-school care programs are canceled. As the storm system is projected to move out of the area that afternoon, after school activities may resume after 4 p.m. on Friday.
