Who doesn't love getting a handwritten letter? As a part of Patriotism Week, Mrs. Mims' class at Moncks Corner Elementary wrote letters and thank you cards to veterans to show appreciation for their service to our country.
MCE loves America and its veterans! Every student participated in singing a song at Moncks Corner Elementary's Veterans Day chorus concert.

The BCSD Student, Teacher, and Parent Climate Surveys window opened on Monday March 3rd and will close Friday March 21st. All students in grades 3-12 and all teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, ROTC instructors, career specialists, and speech therapists are expected to participate in the survey. Our school social workers are sparking change, one student at a time. Thank a school social worker this week for being a light in their students' lives!
Our MCE students who were selected for the BCSD Elementary All-County Chorus showed excellent musicianship this past weekend as they joined with students representing other elementary schools across BCSD and worked with choral clinician, Ms. Amanda Dodd, from Atlanta, GA. We are so proud of them!

Feb. 3-7 is National School Counseling Week, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our school counselors for the role they play in student achievement and success.
BCSD schools and offices will re-open and resume normal operations tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 27.
Due to concerns about icy conditions and the ongoing impact of inclement weather, Berkeley County School District students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, January 24. In response to ongoing forecasts for wintry weather, to include the potential for snow, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that schools will follow the half-day dismissal bell schedule on Tuesday, January 21. Students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Wednesday, January 22. All schools and offices will be closed Wednesday.
