With the use of virtual field trips, St. Stephen Elementary teacher Kimberly Whitaker has found a way to enhance her lessons – and show her students that there is a whole world out there beyond Berkeley County. She recently connected with a former classmate to show her students Venezuela and Colombia.

Current principal, Dr. Anthony Dixon, was named the Executive Director of Academics and Innovation on Tuesday, May 26 with a contract to begin on July 1.
At the Tuesday, May 26, 2020 meeting of the Berkeley County Board of Education, it was announced that Tara Baker will be the next principal at Sangaree Elementary. Her contract will take effect on July 1, 2020.
Dr. Dixon will be leaving the role of principal at Philip Simmons High School in July to join the central office in his new role.
Parents/Guardians of students in grades 3-5 you may electronically view report cards using Parent Portal. Grades K5-2, report cards will be mailed. In addition, if your child has an IEP progress report, this will be mailed.
