At Stratford High School, we develop and prepare our students for their future by focusing on the work and life skills outlined by the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. These include adaptability, advocacy, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, initiative, and resiliency to prepare our students for their future. By having the belief that “all students have futures” we facilitate and support student-driven learning experiences by providing engaging lessons and opportunities for our students to be successful.

The faculty and staff at Stratford High School work diligently to serve approximately 2,700 students in grades 9-12. We strive to meet all student’s individual needs and we are proud of our diverse population. Stratford’s team consists of 164 certified and 47 classified staff members who are devoted to helping our students identify and find success in the workplace, military, or higher education upon graduating. The dedication of teachers and staff, commitment and support of the community, and both academic and athletic achievements of our students, have driven us to unparalleled status in the district and state.

We provide our students the opportunity to develop their talents and passions. Stratford offers many specialized programs based on student’s career and academic interests. The specialized programs offered at Stratford include the following: Automotive Technology; Biomedical Science; Broadcast Journalism; Computer Science; Culinary Arts; Baking and Pastry; Health Science; Engineering; Business Management Administration; and Visual and Performing Arts.

In addition to maintaining our academic excellence and career-focused instruction, students engage in community service and leadership opportunities through athletics, fine arts, JROTC, National Honor Society, Beta Club, Students in Action, Student Council, Renaissance, and other extracurricular opportunities.

We set high expectations and support students by meeting their individual needs while staying focused on building relationships, school culture, and continuous school improvement.
