Congratulations to the girls track & field program for placing 1st out of 28 teams across all divisions at Summerville's Azalea/Zaxby's Invite this past Saturday. Our girls dominated the competition winning the meet with 126 points overall. Keep up the great work!

There will be a Girls Athlete Lunch in Mrs. McCauley's Room 101 during both lunches on Thursdays for any and all female athletes at the Phil looking to connect, recharge, and lead! Join us for a supportive, empowering lunch series focused on building stronger teams and stronger leaders here at Philip Simmons. Snacks and refreshments will be provided!

Boys Volleyball players and prospective players, there will be open gyms on March 12th and 26th from 5:30-7:30. Come meet coach, see your teammates, and play! You must have an up-to-date account on Big Teams. If you have any questions, you may go ask Mrs. Sablotsky.

There will be an E-Sports has a competition Monday, Tuesday, Wed, and Thursday of this week.

Starting Wednesday, AFJROTC cadets will be able to purchase tickets to the Military Ball. Tickets are #$20. Please see Chief Siau or Chief Lindner for payment

National Art Honor Society students planning to attend the field trip this Friday, please have your permission forms and waiver submitted to Ms. Duvall by this Tuesday, March 10th.

Sophomores, if you didn't take the PSAT in the fall, you are going to take the PreACT on 3/11. Be on campus no later than 8am to avoid traffic or other delays. Bring your school-issued Chromebook fully charged and your charger. Remember, your cellphone will be collected. Remember that it is district policy that any use or possession of a prohibited device will result in voided test scores AND 3 days of OSS. There are no make-up dates. For questions, see Dr. Pilson.

The ASVAB is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 31 at 9:15 am in room 225. To sign up for to take the ASVAB, see the link in Schoology, the QR Corner in the Media Center, or the announcement screens throughout the school. The last day to sign up is Wednesday, March 25.

Get ready to light up the night at the Gallop & Glow for the Gold! This St. Patrick’s themed 3K glow run is happening Sunday, March 15, here at PSH. The 3K starts at 7:30. Wear green, bring your glow gear, and run or walk with friends — no experience needed! Sign up on the Iron Horse Gameday Club website or you can see Mrs. Walker in School Counseling!

Are you interested in becoming a teacher or just learning more about the field of education? Teacher Cadet is a great dual credit opportunity to learn all about the classroom, but also about leadership, teamwork and countless other skills that will serve you in college, the workforce and life in general. Teacher Cadet applications are now available!!!! You can pick one up outside room 204 or from Mrs. South. There is a deadline for submissions, so don't wait too long!
