It’s Friday! That means Popping Pals will be selling popcorn during both lunches today.
HOSA will be selling donuts from Krispy Kreme at both lunches next week starting Tuesday. Please look for the HOSA table to pre-order your box of Krispy Kreme.
Hearts In Action interest meeting has been postponed until Thursday, October 16, at 8:15 AM in Mrs. Wolf’s room. Get involved in organizing a variety of fundraising events, including specifically running events like 5Ks and color runs, to raise money for a selected heart association’s charity. Don’t miss out on the chance to make a difference and show your passion for helping your community!
Interested in earning college credit for your foreign language skills? Sign up to take the Seal of Biliteracy exam. Students must complete the Seal of Biliteracy application form located in the Advocate Schoology course slideshow by October 14th. See Dr. Pilson for questions.
All students taking the PSAT on the 15th and the SAT on the 16th MUST participate in the Mandatory Bluebook Readiness Check on Wednesday, October 8th during 2nd block in the auditorium. Students and parents have already received an email reminder with detailed information about this event. Students need to bring their CHARGED SCHOOL-ISSUED CHROMEBOOKS and wait to hear for the announcement to be called out of class. Any student who does not participate or complete this readiness check will NOT be able to test. This activity cannot be done the day of the test. The PSAT is on October 15th. Students should plan to arrive on campus around 7:55am to avoid any traffic or weather issues and give their Chromebook one final charge. There are no make-up test dates for absent students. Calculators are not provided. Students who don't complete Bluebook Readiness cannot participate in testing. Testing will occur in the 200 hallway. The 200 hall bathrooms will be closed to any students not participating in testing. Students, please ask your teachers what classes you are displaced to that day.

Philip Simmons High School will be attending the ED-OP College Fair at Trident Tech on October 20. Speak with admissions counselors from various colleges and learn about scholarship information. If you are a junior or senior interested in attending college after high school, stop by guidance to pick up a permission slip.
