I am extremely blessed and excited to be a part of the Nexton Family. This area is full of growth, life, and unlimited potential. As an administrator, I want to continue to grow the climate and culture that Dr. Hoots has established and make Nexton Elementary the top elementary school in Berkeley County. With 14 years of teaching Physical Education and coaching sports, I bring a competitive and hard work approach to work every day. I want to model that to all students because those are life skills that will make any student in the building successful. We should compete to be our best and we get there by hard work.

I was born and raised in Berkeley County. I attended College Park Elementary, College Park Middle, and Stratford High School. After graduating from Stratford in 2002, I attended Coastal Carolina University where I majored in Physical Education. I later obtained a Master's Degree Of Education In Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University and an Educational Administration Degree from Lamar University.

My career in education began in 2006 at South Florence High School where I was a physical education and football/basketball coach. After one year, I moved to Berkeley County and began teaching at Sangaree Intermediate School and coaching football at Stratford High. I taught at Sangaree Intermediate for nine years until I was offered a position at Stratford to be a Physical Education teacher and Varsity Offensive Coordinator. In 2018, I made a decision to take a position at Westview Middle School and be in the feeder school system with my three children and become the Head B-Team and JV football coach.

Leaving teaching and coaching was difficult because it is a love and passion, but even though I am no longer coaching high school athletics, I still intend to coach my children’s sports teams because I want to continue to invest in my children and the children of the community. Youth sports can mold and change lives and I want to use that platform to reach every child. Outside of athletics, I enjoy being outdoors whether it is on the lake, at the beach, or in the woods.

Berkeley County School District has shaped my career by allowing me to be in great programs like Teacher Cadets, giving me opportunities to play sports, putting me around great mentors such as coaches and teachers, and allowing me to grow as a professional.
