Stratford took down Wando 7-2 on Wednesday to move to 2-0 in region play.

The Knights opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Stratford first got on the board when Ella Bruorton singled, scoring one run.

An error, and a ground out by Kinsley Bass helped Stratford extend their early lead in the third.

Kyliegh Malmede led things off in the circle for Stratford. The hurler surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out two and walking three. Katie Bond appeared in relief for Stratford.

Ilianexis Cotto and Bruorton each collected two hits for Stratford. Bruorton and Julianne Jashienski were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for the Lady Knights. Jashienski stole two bases.

Stratford is back in action at home on Monday against Cane Bay.
