Stratford High graduation info

W.L. Bonds Stadium

The 2020 Stratford High School graduation will be held on June 19 at W.L. Bonds Stadium. The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. Each student will be allowed four guests.

(Children 3 years of age and younger will not require a ticket; however, seating will be measured and designated to accompany ticketed individuals only. Children 3 years of age and younger will need to be held or placed on the lap of a ticketed individual during the ceremony.)

Parking and traffic

If your assigned tickets are section A-H or on the track, you will park in the student parking lot. Enter stadium through the main ticket booth entrance.

If your assigned tickets are section I-O, you will park in the bus parking lot. Enter the stadium through visitor entrance.

Handicap parking will be at the main entrance near the softball field. Enter the stadium through main ticket booth entrance.

Please carpool if possible. Gates open at 8 a.m. GCPD will be assisting with traffic.

Arrival and seating

The stage for graduation will be placed in the scoreboard endzone. All stadium seating will be utilized to accommodate guests. There will also be additional, mobile and limited handicap seating available. (Please email Pam Carr at by June 12th if you need handicap seating.)

No more than four ticketed individuals will be able to sit in their designated area. If you receive a ticket from another family you must sit with that family in their designated area. There will be no standing areas throughout the ceremony. Attendees WILL NOT be permitted on the field before, during or after the graduation ceremony.

**Please note that our clear bag entry procedure will be in effect.**

Graduates should be robed and ready to line up in their assigned spot inside the school no later than 8 a.m. (late arrivals will not be allowed to participate). We will begin promptly at 9 a.m.

Graduate dress code

Males – White dress shirt with a collar, tie that is black, gray or red, black, navy, or dark gray dress slacks, black dress shoes and dark dress socks

Females – A dark single colored knee-length dress or skirt or black, navy, or dark gray dress pants with a white dress shirt. Shoes must be black with the heel being no higher than 2 inches. Shoes also must have the heel enclosed or have a strap.

  • Jeans, head-gear, flip-flops, tennis shoes, exposed midriffs, halter tops, and t-shirts are not acceptable. Be sensible! Remember we will be walking on grass and gravel.
  • Personal protective equipment is encouraged, but not required and will not be provided.

Graduate staging information

Dismissal and diplomas

Graduates are to return to their assigned spot inside the school following the ceremony to receive diplomas.

Attendees/guests will be dismissed by section in an effort to adhere to social distancing guidelines. All attendees/guests are asked to move directly to their vehicles and exit the campus through the same gate they entered.

Congregating in the stadium or parking lot after the ceremony is prohibited. Attendees/guests are asked to wait for their graduate in their car or meet them at home.

We have hired a photographer for ceremony photos. Students will have access to the photos within two weeks of the ceremony. Please plan to take personal photos away from our campus and before or after the ceremony. Access to Stratford High will be limited.

Graduation practice/rehearsal - VIEW GRADUATION LETTER

Graduation practice will be held at W.L. Bond Stadium on June 16 at 6 p.m.


As students arrive on campus please park in the student parking lot. Go immediately to the stadium and sit in a chair. Students are expected to maintain social distancing from one another. Please do not move the chairs.

We will walk through the entire procession. Students may wear comfortable, but school appropriate clothes to practice. Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Top Ten will be announced to the class at practice.

If you have a difficult name, see Mrs. Camens or Mr. Fabiano at graduation practice to ensure they pronounce your name correctly.

Tickets for guests will be issued at the conclusion of practice. Each student will receive 4 assigned seat tickets.
