If Walmart runs out of turkeys this week, do not worry...all one would need to do is just go fetch a turkey fresh out of the woods.

At least, that is the first place some of these first-graders would look if they needed to get a turkey for Thanksgiving.

Anybody looking for last-minute turkey recipes for their Thanksgiving dinner can always check in with Steinna McClary, Breyona Canty and Amy Stewart's first-graders at Cross Elementary; they recently penned how they would prepare their turkeys if they were put in charge of the festivities as part of a fun writing prompt.
