Important information regarding parking for graduations at North Charleston Coliseum

Published Monday, May 13, 2019

Parking at the North Charleston Coliseum for Berkeley County School District commencement ceremonies will be limited this year due to circumstances outside of the school district’s control.

Each graduating student will receive three parking passes to use and distribute. Parking for individuals with disabilities will be available upon presentation of a parking pass and proper decal.

For all those unable to obtain a parking pass with interest in attending a commencement ceremony, BCSD will be offering a shuttle service (at no cost) from the parking lot of the Charles Towne Square movie theater to the North Charleston Coliseum. The shuttle service will begin one hour before each graduation and run for an hour following each ceremony.

The limit on spaces available at the North Charleston Coliseum is most likely to impact the commencement ceremonies of Berkeley High, Cane Bay High, Goose Creek High and Stratford High, however we advise all family members and friends of our graduates to carpool if able and plan accordingly.

Please contact your child's school if you have additional questions regarding parking passes for those commencement ceremonies to be held at North Charleston Coliseum.
