The Cane Bay High School Cobra Chorale traveled to Georgia Southern University on Friday, October 19 to compete in the Southern Sings Choral Invitational.
The chorale was one of 13 choirs who were invited through an audition process to perform for the prestigious competition sponsored by Music for All. Cane Bay was the only school from SC selected to perform, and all other schools were from Georgia.
The chorale performed Alleluia by Thomas Lavoy and Dwijavanthi by Ethan Sperry, bringing home 1st place in the Mixed Choir Division and the Overall Grand Champion award.
Chorale members received great feedback from world class judges Dr. Kent Hatteberg (University of Louisville), Dr. Sara Lynn Baird (University of North Alabama) and Ryan Marsh (Lafayette High School, KY).
