Each spring, Berkeley County School District hosts a teacher recruitment fair that attracts hundreds of educators from around the country. It's become one of the most important annual events in Berkeley County -- so important that BCSD administrators decided it needed to grow.

On Thursday BCSD will build upon the success of the annual teacher recruitment initiative with the first-ever Summer Teacher Recruitment Fair.

The event will be held at MenRiv Education Center in Goose Creek from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Educators exploring opportunities at the event should expect interviews to happen on the spot. The event is designed to be "low stress," but professional dress is expected.

More than 150 educators are expected to be in attendance, based on preregistration numbers. Though preregistration closed Sunday, walk-ins are welcome.

There are approximately 90 teaching positions available. CLICK HERE to visit our jobs site.

While the goal is to provide the best teachers for BCSD students, organizers hope all those in attendance at the event leave knowing "children come first in Berkeley County School District."
