Drone video shows progress on Bowen's Corner Elementary

Published Friday, April 13, 2018

Drone images provided this month by Berkeley County Government provide a birds-eye view of work that’s gone into the construction of Bowen’s Corner Elementary School in Hanahan.

Crews are working inside the school, outside the school and on neighboring pieces of land as Bowen’s Corner Elementary prepares to open ahead of the 2018-2019 school year.

"I am so excited about the progress of the building, and I cannot wait to meet all of our new Soaring Eagles," said Bowen's Corner Elementary School Principal Aimee Fulmer.

Drivers in the area are asked to continue to use caution as workers will be pouring sidewalks.

Other work being done includes but is not limited to, sprinkler installation, sheetrock, painting, parking lot curb installation and metal stud framing in some areas.

The project is on target for a July completion with a ribbon-cutting scheduled for the school on August 4.
