Work in the Williams Lane/Foster Creek area of Hanahan continues in preparation for the opening of Bowen’s Corner Elementary School before the 2018-2019 school year.
For the next two weeks, crews will be busy in the area relocating water lines. A formal notice will be provided by Charleston Water System to all area residents that may be impacted by work.
Crews will also begin installing sidewalks at the north end of the school, in the direction of Foster Creek.
Drivers in the area are asked to continue to use caution as Contract Construction will be back-filling areas from the school in the direction of Foster Creek. Trucks will haul in fill dirt and rock as needed.
This phase of work follows the clearing of trees and debris in the area of Williams Lane and Foster Creek.
It’s expected all roadwork related to the school’s construction will be completed during the summer of 2018. We appreciate your patience as we continue to grow Berkeley County School District.
