PHOTOS: BCSD administrators learn techniques for emergency situations
Published Wednesday, February 7, 2018
Teachers and administrators are the first line of defense in the event of an emergency scenario involving threats of physical harm to students and staff members at a school.
For that reason, Berkeley County School District administrators have been learning proactive self-defense, safety and injury prevention techniques.
Trainings occur on an annual basis, with the help of H2H Training Solutions, and this school year makes the third year of this training.
H2H Training Solutions works with organizations all over the Lowcountry, including but not limited to hospitals, law enforcement agencies and non-profit organizations. The program is operated by Matt Robinson and David Aarons of Charleston Krav Maga.
BCSD is currently the only school district in the Lowcountry to offer a program involving such techniques.
