This past weekend the Berkeley Band Winter Ensembles performed at the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association Championships. They competed against some of the best teams from South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.

The Berkeley varsity winter guard beat 36 teams to be named CWEA Scholastic Regional A Class Champions. Additionally, they were promoted to the AAA class for the 2020 season. This is the 2nd consecutive CWEA Championship for the Berkeley varsity team. In 2018 they were named Scholastic Novice Class Champions.

Team members include captains Lauren Lewis and Grant Jaworski, Aalea Lopez, Sierra Parker, Jamie Beach, Asaunte Green, Kylie Rice, Kylie Renshaw, B'onna Singleton, Samone Jenkin and Sara Higgins. The team is co-directed by Director of Bands, Brittany DelSignore and Color Guard Instructor, Steven T. Mack.
