Jim Rozier, voice of the Stags, passes at age 77

Longtime voice of the Berkeley Stags and former Berkeley County Supervisor Jim Rozier passed away on February 6, 2019. Those at Berkeley High say his voice will be missed on Friday nights and his boots will be tough to fill.

Mr. Rozier began began his nights in the pressbox at Berkeley High in 1990. He rarely missed a football game and was known for his one-liners.

Mr. Rozier served as Berkely County Supervisor for 16 years, from 1990-2006. He was instumental in forming Charleston Regional Development Alliance (CRDA) in the wake of the Naval Shipyard closure.
