4 BCSD football players selected for 2018 North/South game

Four Berkeley County School District football players, from four different schools were selected to play in the 2018 Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl.
The annual North/South all-star game will be played on December 15 at Coastal Carolina University and will see talent-rich squads from the Upper State and Lower State face off on the gridiron to claim bragging rights for their respective regions.
Selected as defensive backs for the Lower State team were Timberland's Tyler Sumpter (6-foot; 170 pounds) and Berkeley's Tre Morrison (6-foot; 180 pounds). Goose Creek defensive end Lesonly "LJ" Stanley (6-foot-3; 250 pounds) was also selected to help keep the Upper State off the scoreboard.
Stratford running back Mario Anderson, known for his playmaking ability, will take the field on the offensive side for the Lower State team.
The game at CCU's Brooks Stadium is scheduled to begin at noon.
