Traffic pattern change implemented for Williams Lane project in Hanahan
Published Monday, June 18, 2018
Traffic pattern changes were implemented Friday, June 15 on Foster Creek Road, at the intersections of Song Sparrow Drive and Williams Lane. The traffic pattern and intersection now include a roundabout.
Signage, temporary painted pavement markings and traffic barrels will be in place indicating proper traffic flow.
The work is the beginning of the second phase of the four-phase project. It will allow crews to work in the center of the traffic circle. Stage three will consist of paving. The fourth and final stage will include the final paving work and beautification work.
The project is currently on schedule and substantial completion is anticipated for July 28.
A ribbon-cutting for the new Bowen’s Corner Elementary will be held on August 4.
Motorists traveling the area are urged to exercise caution and follow all traffic flow as directed.
