Timberland High School’s Anna Lauren Godbee is ahead of the game. She’s currently taking a full course load at Berkeley Middle College and will enter her first semester at Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte with several college credits under her belt.

It’s good that she’s ahead, because Thursday she signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at the university.

Timberland volleyball coach Andrea Fox and JWU coach Callie Phillips sat by Anna at Berkeley Middle College in Moncks Corner Thursday as she signed.

“Lauren (Anna), is an extremely special person,” said Coach Fox. “I am so glad that I had the opportunity to coach her the past two seasons. Her hard work and leadership abilities are traits that will allow her to be successful in anything she decides to do. Myself and the staff at Timberland wish her the best of luck in the future at Johnson & Wales, Charlotte.”

Anna was a three-year letter winner; 2017 season MVP; 2017 and 2018 all-region team member and the 2018 Timberland volleyball team captain.

Anna will receive her Associate in Arts degree on May 4 of this year from Trident Technical College. She will receive her South Carolina State High School Diploma on May 31st.
