Two Berkeley County School District students are partaking this week in one of the highest honors a high school singer can receive.
Goose Creek / Berkeley Center for the Arts sophomore Kandache Griffin and Cane Bay junior Ashleigh Allen were each selected to perform with the honor choir at the Southern Division American Choral Directors Association Conference.
Kandache and Ashleigh were selected over more than 1,000 students who auditioned. Kandache also makes the first student ever selected for the honor choir from Goose Creek Choirs.
The conference began in Louisville, Kentucky on Wednesday and ends Saturday.
