Dennie McDaniel named new head football coach at Stratford High School

Stratford High School principal Heather Taylor and athletic director John Chalus are pleased to announce Dennie McDaniel as the school’s new varsity football head coach.
McDaniel graduated from Stratford High School in 1995. He attended Charleston Southern University, where he played football. He graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. He was subsequently hired by Ray Stackley, former Stratford head football coach/athletic director, to be the had junior varsity/b-team football coach.
In 2000, Coach McDaniel accepted a football coaching position at Wando High School. In 2007, he returned to Stratford as the offensive coordinator.
Coach McDaniel became the St. John’s High School head football coach and athletic director in 2015. Last year, he returned to Stratford to continue his teaching/coaching career.
Coach McDaniel is married to the former Christine Smith (Stratford Class of ’97) and has two daughters - Madison and Landry.
