In 2019, Berkeley Middle School unified students and local law enforcement officers came together for the first Cops and Bobbers event. Last week, the two groups came together again for Cops and Bobbers, after having to put the event on hold due to the pandemic.
The event gives students with special needs and general education students a chance to spend the day fishing. In addition to it just being fun, it's an opportunity to practice skills like knot-tying, communication and eye coordination.
