To showcase our exceptional art students, each year the Berkeley County School Board hosts the Board Art Show. Prior to last night’s board meeting, select student artwork was on display around the board room for students, parents, board members and the public to observe.

Charleston-area Concert Performance Assessment (CPA) results are in, and among their scores, band students from Stratford High, Hanahan High and Westview Middle all helped their schools bring home Superior ratings with Distinction – the highest earning they can receive in their assessments.

PHOTOS: PSE FOURTH-GRADERS BRING MINI-VERSION OF 'THE NUTCRACKER' TO THE STAGE

Following a four-song performance by the school's Iron Horse Choir, the school's fourth-graders took to the stage to debut "The Nutcracker Suite," a mini-musical based on Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's famous ballet.

Marching Knights Place Sixth at State Championship

Stratford High's marching band placed sixth at the South Carolina Band Directors Association Class 5A State Championship. This is the highest placement the Marching Knights have earned in 5A finals in school history.

CONDUCTOR/COMPOSER CHRIS PILSNER WORKS WITH GCH STRINGS STUDENTS

Chris Pilsner is a music composer and conductor from Colorado with a background in teaching high school music. He recently made a special guest appearance at Goose Creek High to work with orchestra students.
