The selection and appointments of new principals at three Berkeley County School District schools were announced Monday morning during the kickoff to the district’s summer leadership series of meetings.
The Berkeley County Board of Education approved the promotion of Mrs. Lindsey Brooke Melcher to Assistant Principal for Marrington Elementary at the Tuesday, July 9 board workshop.
If you notice heavy law enforcement presence at Stratford High tomorrow (Wednesday, July 17), you shouldn’t be alarmed.
All meetings will be held in the Boardroom of the Berkeley County Board of Education Building except as noted. Also, meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m. (Executive Session) with Regular Session scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT COUNCIL
The purpose of a School Improvement Council is to work with the school principal in planning, reviewing, and evaluating school programs. Input is sought in developing strategic and school renewal plans. The most up-to-date information and data on school programs is shared each month.
Meetings are open to the public at 8:15am in the Media Center (sign in at the front office upon arrival)
Summer school is Monday-Thursday from 7:30am to 5pm.
