Kali Coaxum is low country born and low country raised. She moved from Charleston to Goose Creek with her family at age 6 when her dad got a job at Alumax (now Mt. Holly). Ms. Coaxum is a proud product of the Berkeley County School system. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State University in Early Childhood Education. She is also a graduate of The Citadel with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She started her teaching career as a long-term substitute at her former elementary school, Howe Hall Elementary in 1996. She was then hired as a teacher of that classroom in the spring.
Ms. Coaxum has spent 16 of her 20 years in education teaching kindergarten. She has also taught Child Development and 1st Grade. Ms. Coaxum is extremely excited to be a part of the Westview Primary family as an Assistant Principal.
Ms. Coaxum loves spending time with her family. She has 2 children and 5 nieces that all mean the world to her. Her daughter, Liarah, is 19 and attends Trident Tech. Her son, Jackari, is 13 and is a seventh grader in the Berkeley County School District.
