Principal

Mr. McCombs has been with Berkeley County since 2000. He became an assistant principal at Sangaree Middle School in 2016 and was named principal at the school in 2022.

His years in Berkeley County include being a High School English Teacher, Adult Education Instructor, and an Assistant Principal at Timberland High School.

Mr. McCombs follows in the footsteps of long-time SRM Principal Margaret Day, who was named the principal of the Carolyn Lewis School (set to open in the fall of 2023).

Mr. McCombs is passionate about his vision for the school. He believes the school has an unlimited amount of potential with a strong focus on academics, leadership, the arts and athletics. He said parents, students and employees should expect him to be firm, fair and consistent.

Assistant Principal

I am Mr. Kevin Covington, Assistant Principal at Sangaree Middle. Prior to arriving here, had the privilege to serve students in grades 3-5 as an assistant principal at Goose Creek Elementary.

I am excited to serve Sangaree Middle, and I look forward to making great memories with you and your family.

Assistant Principal

Mrs. Spitulski has been with Berkeley County since 2014. She has been an Assistant Principal at Sangaree Middle School since 2019. Her years in Berkeley County include being a special education teacher and an Assistant Principal at Berkeley Middle School. 

Instructional Coach

Ms. Bloomfield has been with Berkeley County since 2001.  She has been the Instructional Coach at Sangaree Middle School since 2010.  Her years in Berkeley County include being an middle school English teacher at Macedonia Middle School and Sangaree Middle School.
