    Principal
    Don Walton (waltond@bcsdschools.net)

I wanted to use the Principal’s Page as an opportunity to let everyone know how excited I am to be back home and to tell a little about myself. I am originally from Moundsville, West Virginia. I moved to South Carolina in 1990 and was hired as a 6thgrade math/science teacher at Macedonia Middle School. I spent the next 20 years working at Macedonia as a teacher, Title I facilitator, and Assistant Principal. I was transferred to St. Stephen Middle School where I served as Assistant Principal for two years. I then moved to Sedgefield Middle School where I spent two years as the 7th grade Assistant Principal. I am honored to get the chance to lead the students of Macedonia and work with such an outstanding community!

I want to assure you that Macedonia Middle School will continue to ensure the development of the unique potential of each student as a lifelong learner through a comprehensive and challenging educational program that embraces the best of traditional and innovative practices within a caring, supportive and safe community of learners.  We are a high-performing middle school that integrates academic achievement with parental support, children’s needs and interests, and community involvement.  We will continue to advance our level of academic achievement and cultivate strong community relationships during the 2015-2016 school year. Together we will continue the outstanding achievement that has taken place here at Macedonia for years!
