Sangaree Middle School's library is a place for study, research and reading. Noise within the library must be kept to a minimum in order for the library to be used effectively.
The vision of the Sangaree Middle School Library is that all students will become life-long readers and learners. To accomplish this, we strive to be an approachable, accessible organization that promotes reading and learning in numerous ways. We are sensitive to the needs of all users and provide positive learning experiences that foster a love for reading as well as excitement during the research process.

Circulation Policies for students
All library books are due in three weeks with the exception of a few Reference books which have overnight circulation. A student can renew the library material if they bring the actual material into the library to be renewed an unlimited number of times unless another student or teacher has placed a hold request for that material. Students are allowed to have out a maximum of 3 books.
Overdue notices are sent out at the periodically. If a student has an overdue book, they will be allowed to check out a class set book until they have cleared their account and paid their assessed overdue fines. The Sangaree Middle School Media Center charges overdue fines of 5¢ per school day per item. Overdue fine maximum is set at $5.00 per book. Patrons are responsible for paying for lost books and/or fines. "Lost" library materials must be returned in a timely fashion to generate a refund. Students have twenty calendar days from date "lost" before a paid library fine becomes non-refundable. Patrons may also incur obligations due to damaged materials.
A few Reference materials will be allowed to circulate overnight. Students can renew the material as many times as necessary, unless it is being held for a project, teacher or other student. If the reference material is overdue, there is a fine of $1.00 a day with a maximum fine of $5.00.
If patrons have questions regarding their account they are encouraged to visit the library for more information about their obligation.
